17 videogames recommended for each moment of this summer

in #life5 years ago

For the players, summer has always been tied to the possibility of enjoying our biggest hobby without barriers, to grab all those games that we had pending and to burn hours in front of the computer or the television. Also of laptops, of course, especially on long road trips.

With that mixture in the end it is inevitable to end up making seemingly meaningless connections for the rest of the mortals, for those who continue to say that bicycles are for the summer when we have long changed the vehicle for a video game. If you also have to resign yourself staying at home, this may be your perfect summer.

A Plague Tale: Innocence

  • Platforms: PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Topping the list and offering that duality between marveling at the sights and overwhelming you with the flood of tourists that surround you, we have the magnificent proposal of 'A Plague Tale: Innocence'. Superb narrative and adventure game that narrates what happened in a French region during an epidemic of the plague.

Ace Combat 7

  • Platforms: PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Because sometimes going without a closed destination is usually one of the funniest and cheapest options when catching a plane, 'Ace Combat 7' takes us to the skies without too much pretension, but delivering a memorable experience. A fantastic return to the legendary airplane saga that is almost impossible not to enjoy.

Blood and Truth

  • Platforms: PS4

There's always a summer movie, and usually it's a pigeon-action despisory. In the world of videogame that role is embodied by 'Blood and Truth', one of the latest stars of PlayStation VR. As if we were living one action scene after another, its festival of shots and explosions will inevitably leave us wanting more.

Rage 2

  • Platforms: PC, PS4 and Xbox One

A wilderness full of monsters from another era, but also a source of celebration and debauchery. That is, according to the plan of many, to return to the town of our parents, but also what perfectly represents the craziest FPS of this last year. Maybe 'Rage 2', like the trip to the town, is far from perfect, but let's be surprised if it's not hilarious.

Baba is You

  • Platforms: PC and Switch

Finding spaces to be educated is also part of the summer entertainment, and there is no game that best reflects the combo of squeezing your brain and the satisfaction of having learned something. 'Baba is You' is one of those indies that you would not approach seeing only one image, but a must-have game that you should enjoy sometime this year, whether you're on vacation or not.

Forza Horizon 4’

  • Platforms: PC and Xbox One

There are people who hate road trips and I can understand why, especially if you do not do it as a driver. For me, on the other hand, taking the car on roads and stopping in charming villages is one of my favorite pastimes for the summer. No other game exemplifies better that love for the road that distills 'Forza Horizon 4'.

Yoshi’s Crafted World

  • Platforms: Switch

With no work or obligations in sight, summer vacations are also the perfect time to enjoy the little ones of the house, whether they are children, nephews or cousins. Adapting to your holidays is also a trip to the past in which you remember how you were doing during that time. Impossible not to give a gap here to 'Yoshi's Crafted World', either as a pastime to enjoy with them or as remnants of another simpler time.

Anno 1800

  • Platforms: PC

Enjoy the architecture, the streets or the atmosphere that transforms from one neighborhood to another. A path that you know when it starts but not when it will end. That walk without great pretensions but enjoyable enough to last for hours without you noticing is the spirit of 'Anno 1800'. A bottomless pit that is difficult to leave because, simply, you never see the need to do it.

Cadence of Hyrule

  • Platforms: Switch

If we have a summer movie, it was also a good idea to tell the song. As an alternative option I had 'Beat Saber' in mind, but not everyone will enjoy a virtual reality helmet or the desire to sweat while moving to the music. 'Cadence of Hyrule', on the other hand, allows us to do that same thing, enjoy a great soundtrack, without having to worry about anything other than enjoying the world around us.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

  • Platforms: PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One

Nothing like enjoying the festival with your group of lifelong friends, just as you did years ago in that time, the result of nostalgia, seems the best you've ever lived. They say that nostalgia has the best graphics, but in the case of 'Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled' everything points to this time the saying is going to have some reason.

Tetris Effect

  • Platforms: PS4

Whether as a relaxing pastime or psychotropic experience, 'Tetris Effect' is one of the perfect games to cover those dead moments that leaves a summer full of free time. The renovation of the puzzle of the pieces is, in addition, one of the best faces of a classic game to which everyone who is close can join without problems.

Gris

  • Platforms: PC and Switch

Although we have already had a space to be acculturated in the list, it was important to be able to find another one to that maxim, this time from the pictorial perspective that represents 'Gray'. The Spanish game became one of the most successful of last year, and this summer can be a perfect moment as any other to give a chance to its beautiful platforms.

Donut County

  • Platforms: Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One

Surely at some point in the next few weeks you will want to have the power to make everything around you disappear, be it annoying guiris, food on the table or cars occupying the space that should be for you. Nothing like a good portion of 'Donut County' console, PC or mobile to make that dream come true and make a hole swallow everything around.

Subnautica

  • Platforms: PC, PS4 and Xbox One

For many of us, going to the beach is an absurd mixture between relaxation and struggle for survival. 'Subnautica' removes the absurdity of the equation, but for the rest it remains exactly the same. A submarine trip of the most recommended in which the tension to survive a hostile world is complemented by pleasant walks in beautiful aquatic scenarios.

Sekiro

  • Platforms: PC, PS4 and Xbox One

In the worst case, this summer you have to pass it at home and without access to air conditioning. On the one hand it is a frustrating situation that you would like to send to the wind for the first time, on the other a vicious circle to which it is easy to get hooked. 'Sekiro' offers something similar, to be fed up with another drop of sweat falling back on your forehead and, in turn, to be enjoying like a beanie not having to do anything else.

Hitman 2

  • Platforms: PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Let's say that what you are looking for is variety. Jump from one option to another being you the only one who decides if you are already tired of that and want something more. Precisely what the contracts of 'Hitman 2' offer, with multiple activities available in each destination and the possibility to squeeze it to the satiation or to look for a new one at your fingertips.

Katana Zero

  • Platforms: PC and Switch

We close with the inevitable return to routine and the need to make that return a less bitter drink. Also the desire to end everything and everyone that intoxicates us at that point of summer, the need to retaliate until we have left energy for nothing else. 'Katana Zero' is the game to hold on to like a burning nail at that moment. A festival of gore and revenge to leave happy, relaxed and strong for the wait until the next holiday.
