Is Your Job Safe From Automation ?
The general consensus is that intellectual or artistic/ creative jobs will be safe from the relentless pursuit of the automation engineer, but how true is that statement?
Follow the illustrated story below and let me know in the comments if you think we are wrong about this.
So you think that.
How about doctors? Do you think being a doctor is a low-skill profession?
You might be aware that
Ok, but how common is a misdiagnosis in today’s medical practice?
The answer to this question might frighten you. Based on the latest studies, 8.4 percent of all people who die in American hospitals have at least one major misdiagnosis. A major misdiagnosis occurs when the misdiagnosis contributes directly to the death of the patient. In other words, doctors might have been able to save those patients if they were diagnosed properly. The average number of Americans who die in hospitals every year is around 850000. Just looking at major misdiagnosis (8.4% of 850000), seventy-one thousand and four hundred Americans die every year from misdiagnosis of major life threatening diseases. When the study looked at all misdiagnosis, the percentage of misdiagnosis was as high as 28%.
Why does this happen?
What is a solution to this problem? Use "Doctor-Bots".
