How to survive middle school

in #life7 years ago

So this is my story on how I survived middle school.

I remember when I was about 11 years old, just about to enter middle school. At that point I had no idea what to expect because there were three schools about to combine into one large school. At that point, I wasn't really one of those talkative kids, but slowly I would become more social. On the first day of school, I sat with my friends from elementary school because I didn't know anyone, but there was a new kid with my usual friends. I was like
But slowly, I would eventually become best friends with that guy for a majority of my years in middle school. My grades were great because I had asian parents so of course I had to get straight As or no dinner. I passed through sixth grade with flying colors and made an impression on many of the teachers and made a lot of new friends, but seventh grade was where it got tough.
In middle school, I started playing in the orchestra and was actively participating in the events, such as concerts and going out to play at certain events. One random day in seventh grade I checked my grades while we were on a trip and realized I had just gotten a D on my latest science test.

After that, I started not doing well at school and got into more arguments with my friends and parents. I guess that was when I was going through "phases", but everything changed for the better after seventh grade. Eighth grade is the best because you basically have freedom. You were the oldest kids on campus and could bully little kids into giving you your lunch money.(Not like I ever did that) Eighth grade was where my fondest memories are of middle school. I remember how one time I had a burrito eating challenge with my friend. I almost threw up, and him? He had to go to the nurse's office. I don't know how I screwed up so bad in seventh grade because I was getting straight As and had so much fun in eighth grade. The best thing I remember is the feeling of getting that two hundred dollars from my parents as a reward for completing middle school. That's basically it for this story. There's much more ahead in high school. Keep on socializing and upgrade your circle of friends, by knowing more people that you admire. All the best!

Thanks, but I'm in my senior year already :)

haha, I see. Oh, going to university soon :) best of luck too
