Hope, faith and courage is all YOU. Look inward and you will realize it.

We are very courageous. If we ain’t we would not be facing the lions in our lives. The lions may be humans, adversity, diseases and even our own self. Have you ever pondered how on earth you became so courageous? I have never pondered till writing this article. The tunnel analogy comes back. I have mentioned that hope is the light, which is us, we use to pass the tunnel and faith is the trust in ourselves that we will and can overcome any obstacles in the tunnel and life. Let’s say you are in the tunnel now and a lion appears. You are shit scared but you have faith in yourself and you decide to either attack the lion or escape it strategically. Now that action is courageous. How did that happen? It was due to your faith in yourself that led you to carry out a action that was courageous. Courage is when you are frightened of something and yet you face that fear. Courage is that action you take to punch the lion in the face so that you can move forward.

However, courage can also be that quiet voice in your head. After fighting/escaping the lion you have been walking for so long that now you feel thirsty and hence you decide to find water. You have been trying to find it for hours, which has turned into a day and now 2 days. You are shit tired, you feel dizzy and you are on the verge of giving up. “Hang in there, you are nearing the well. Push on.” (you push on and a few meters ahead you find a well) That! That voice in your head is also known as courage. Courage is the action you carry out to fight your fears but courage is also that voice in your head that pushes you on and tells you to try again. What is courage then? Or rather who is courage? You, it is you again. The action was carried out by you and the voice in your head was also you. Doesn’t that imply that YOU are courage.

You are hope, You are faith and now You are courage. We all are but we never really realize that we are those. I have always associated those words with something external and not internal. However, I have just realized that hope, faith and courage is filled in us. It’s like in our blood. You! You out there reading this, you are one heaven of a courageous person. The hope, who is you, lights up the toughest period in your life and tells you that everything is happening for a reason. Faith, who is also you, is the trust in yourself that you will overcome this dark period of your life and that faith leads you to take actions in your life that you know you will be shit scared of. That faith also leads you to your inner voice in your mind that tells you to try again and preserve on.

It is YOU who have been really strong and pushing on always when troubles hit you in the face, when people hurt you, when someone passes away etc. I did not know what was the purpose of this article at the beginning. All I wanted to write was about courage but I was unsure what to write about that. Now that I am reaching towards the end of this article I know the purpose of this. It is to tell you and myself to look within ourselves and we will find the hope, faith and courage. It is all within us, it is us. Look inwards my friend, look inwards :).
