Story Marketing for Small Buisnesses
Obviously, one of the greatest marketing stories of all time.
In the increasingly competitive marketplace, small businesses need a competitive edge. Every company—large and small—needs to promote themselves to present, new and potential customers.
Story marketing may be just the job for you.
All outstanding marketing is based on telling a compelling story. Communicating your brand, service or product to a wider audience uses storytelling techniques—plot and drama, with a main character your target audience can identify with. You have a hero protagonist (someone the client can relate to), an antagonist villain (someone or something that gets in the way of your hero’s success).
Of course, any good story—the version of your brand—will need dramatic conflict, a way to move the hero to a successful conclusion.
At this point, you may be thinking that the only way to use story marketing is to create fictional characters and a made-up story. For many small businesses, that is simply not the case.
Everyone and anything can be a part of your story marketing campaign. As a business owner, you have embarked on a great journey to this point—and that can be a legend used to get the word out about how impressive your product or service can be. All small businesses—especially in this economic climate—have a fascinating back-story and the narrative can easily turn into a reason for customers to choose you.
Among the elements needed for a compelling marketing story —characters, plot and conflict—you will also need to have the one thing all marketing requires—great content. Great story telling in marketing is just that—telling a great story. Consider having a professional writer take your history, and make it into an epic tale of overcoming considerable odds to achieve your well-deserved business success.
I found this really interesting. My marketing style is more like guerilla marketing, so I've never really thought of the concept of story telling to gain an advantage over my competitors. Going to google more info on it now. Thank you, @kristinaljfom!
Yeah. Your right about the power of stories to ignite the impulse to buy into your brand krisyinaljfom. Question: Do you help with this process at all?
Hi @kristinalijfom story telling marketing is like educational marketing too. You need to have rapport and turn around stories for the people to know the story of the product and features. That's true that you said it. You look like Gal Gadot the wonder woman as well. Have a nice day! :)
You got my vote and a resteem :]
