North Korea's nuclear crisis is taking a big hit today on Wednesday, 51 countries across the world agreed to sign a new agreement to build a nuclear war-free world. In spite of opposition from major nuclear powers including the United States, the United Nations 122 countries agreed to ratify the agreement to build a nuclear war-free world headed by Austria, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and New Zealand in July.
However, nine countries of nuclear power, including the US, Russia, UK, China, France, India, Pakistan, North Korea and Israel, have not signed the agreement.
NATO has condemned the treaty and it has been said that it can be averted by dividing it.
UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres has historically signed the largest multi-disciplinary deal between the two decades, as the world leaders formally sign the agreement in the United Nations General Assembly. Gutters acknowledged that there was a lot of work needed to remove 15,000 nuclear warheads stored in the world.
Gutters said, "To make the world free from nuclear weapons, we will cross the difficult road ahead of us. When 51 countries signed and ratified it, it will be strong. It may take months or years. ' References: AFP
