Less Isn't Always Lazy!
We often look at people who do less, as lazy.
But is this the case?
There are different versions of laziness. But in a way, they are the same. People like this tend to do the minimum possible to get the results that they want.
Does this sound bad?
Maybe for us "overachievers." From the outside, it may look as though lazy people are trying to game the system.
Less often means less meaningless work
Instead of getting caught up in a bunch of pointless tasks. Lazy people tend to do less in every aspect.
Less stupid tasks that we often convince ourselves that we "need" to do.
Less meaningless work, Means you can focus on things of greater importance. This is NOT laziness.
Why Is it, That society tends to reward personal sacrifice over personal productivity?
It's so much better to be productive over being "busy." Like in one of my past posts I discussed how being a "workaholic" can be a bad thing. It can harm your productivity. Because you just keep yourself busy and your not giving your brain a chance to rest.
What we fear of doing is what we often need to do the most!
Sometimes us busy people will put everything in the world ahead of the task we are SUPPOSED to do.
It's because we are scared of the task that needs to be done. We give ourself the illusion that we are "Too Busy for it."
Lazy people sometimes can get that task done sooner, Because they have no "busy" Tasks.
Lazy People are More likely to look for Automation
When your lazy, You want to do things with as little effort as possible! You will be more likely to look for software Or other methods that will get the project done faster. This gives you a huge advantage over workaholics who may not look for that kind of thing as quickly. Will will slave away at our computers for hours, While the lazy person may already be ahead of the game.
But at the same time, lazy people may not pursue the same opportunities as workaholics because of the percieved "difficulty" Level of that task.
Just because your doing something unimportant doesn't make it important
Being busy is only helpful when you are doing task that will allow you to grow closer to your desired goals.
Simple is often better
Lazy people may live more simple lives. Simplicity often gets you the results you want! It's easier to manage a smaller number of tasks rather than a larger amount of tasks. This is why I got rid of a lot of my stuff. "Managing" my stuff and everything else in my life took so much time. Having less stuff made my life more simple, so I could get more done in a day.
Don't Be Lazy, But Dont' Be A Workaholic Either
We all know that extremes either way can be bad for us!
The same rule applies. Being too lazy will make you forfeit potential challenges that could have a big impact on your success. But being too "busy" will distract you from what is really important.

Thank you @elyaque for the awesome Badges!
You know what I call myself now? EX-workaholic.
I used to work so hard, burn myself to death, each and every day that I wish someone slapped me and said: "SON, will you enjoy a little more?"
Sure, I never hated work (been self-employed for as long as I can remember) but the fact that I was pushing boundaries was equally pleasurable and painful.
I have come to a point where I am reorganizing everything, setting up a new office, and relaxing more than ever before.
Hence I am constantly coming here, appreciating your post, and commenting while taking in some very good relaxing deep breaths! :D
Cheers!
I love this! and I can relate! I'm gradually cutting back on being a workaholic as well.
Haha! Is Steemit a part of your daily routine now? I like the way you are posting frequently. Very curious to hear our views about this platform!
Yes!! Steemit and shirts lately. I closed my dropshipping store,
Although I hope to start making coloring books again.
Awesome! So glad to know that Steem is a part of your routine. And coloring books you said? Well, someone is truly living the dream! :D
Yes I am heheh :)
I am a coloring book illustrator and a T shirt designer. What do you do hehe?
Very nice! I am a complicated man, really. I started with the hopes of paying bills at the age of 16. And God showed doors. I walked into these unknown doors and touched everything until it turned into gold.
Then I lost my touch. In simple words, I am a strategist. A hustler. And a human that never gives up! (Ugh, how bad do I sound).
Or I am, as people would call it, a blogger. :)
what better way to end the day than reading such a wonder peice of work...
I'm so aware of what lazy people are able to do, I like art and in my art class there is two kind of people; the ones who think of every detail (me) and the ones who just go with the flow, the ones that just go for it. They ALWAYS finish faster and their art work is usually better due to this. great work !!! i was going to ask, @kaylinart at what time do you usually post?, if its at night expect a comment on every work you do :)
Thank you :)
I can relate to the art thing! I focus on details too! But sometimes it really is better to go with the flow :)
To be honest I'm really not consistent with my posts LOL. Sometimes I am ahead and will post during the day, Othertimes I'm behind, So I'll post them all close together. Like today for example. I didn't have anything prepared ahead of time, Which means I'm writing things right now for today!
if thats so, I'm amazed on how good thsi post is, i guess you're just a exeptional human being. one day i'll be that good in english, as a right now it sucks :(
Aww You are so kind! Just keep practicing your English will get better!
Anyone can learn. Practice more. English is my fourth language. It took me years of practice to learn, you know! You keep on writing. And you write more.
All the best!
FOURTH!? WOW That is way impressive!
Hehe! Interesting, isn't it?
The language we watch episodes in is different (Hindi). And the language we communicate in at home is different (Marwari).
Outside, with people and friends, it is another language (Kannada). And then there's English in between all these.
Although, in school, English was my third language. We were taught English all our lives, and India - if you didn't know - has the highest number of English speakers than the US. :)
We are growing, learning, and constantly adopting to the western world.
English is now very close to my heart. I must have read hundreds if not thousands of books to get good at it. Oh well, that's a story for another time. :)
Laziness and efficiency are just two sides of the same coin.
Very true :)
Lotta people out there, simply can't stand to witness the prodigious intellectual marvel going on in those who they ignorantly just tend to call them Lazy without understand first and being unable to listen the creative sound occurring in their minds when they are only singing along the rhythm of their neurons squeaking in joyful stillness. :)
So true!! Haha. That almost sounded like a poem heehe.
Upvoted. Really nice post. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much :)
I have seen people take on projects that would normally take a short amount of time and turn them into projects of epic proportion. I think its a way for some people to look busy but actually hide behind the door the project creates.
So true!!! I am one of those people sometimes. It's a habit i"m trying to break! Sometimes early deadlines, Or procrastination can actually help you get things done faster!
NOOOOOO!
Yes! Because you see that deadline super close, and your forced to work at a faster pace in that moment to finish in time. Where as if your further away from the deadline you can work slower because you have more time.
Haha! CLASSIC human nature!
Exactly XD
