Moving to a new place

Hi there! I'm Kate and welcome to my blog 😂 This is my first ever blog so please bear with me lol! I'm from the Philippines then I moved to California last April. I made this blog to let you know how I felt when I got here. So here it goes..

Moving to a new school or a new city is scary enough, how much more when you're going to move to a completely different country. You know how awful it is moving to a new place. You're just stuck at home cause you don't have friends yet, you can't go to the mall cause you're not driving yet and commuting is not a thing here. Basically, you don't have a life here.

Imagine yourself just staring up at your ceiling thinking about how boring your life is, thinking about how happy were way back home, seeing pictures of your family and friends hanging out and having fun. Then here you are trying your best to hold back your tears, trying not to cry because you already miss them and you can't do anything about it. Communicating through social media isn't enough, I tell you. Checking on cheap plane tickets cause you're so desperate to go home but you still can't afford it. Just knowing that fact already breaks your heart.

I remember saying farewell to my family and friends. God I hate goodbyes! You know it really hurts a lot cause you're leaving the important people in your life, people that you love that you may not ever gonna see again for God knows how long. It's not that easy to leave everything especially when you've spent 19 years living in that place, leaving home.

So yeah, moving to another country isn't easy but I know God will have great plans for me and I'm taking this opportunity. ☺️
