RE: If you want to live forever stop eating sugars. A true story !

in #life8 years ago

That's pretty much a ketogenic diet. I am a keto-vegan...as you say a little more difficult, but not impossible. Cutting out most sugars and almost all carbs pretty much helps me combat pain and I am altogether more alert, energetic and clear skinned.
Good post. 😊

thanks for the response @katdvine. yes pretty much ketogenic. I'm actually following a SIBO diet for 3 months. Previously I was following more of an atkins type diet. It's very good for the skin and reducing inflammation. I've always had quite a sweet tooth and loved bread, so this is quite difficult but I reduced my carb intake about 4 years ago and it's been a gradual & long journey. Good to hear that you can achieve it as a vegan. Log may you live and prosper

I stopped eating meat because I had a high cholesterol count (apparently inherited from my mother) plus meat production and the method behind it has become crazy and unsustainable.
Carbs and sugar caused havoc with my digestion too. At first I did feel hungry all the time when I started the diet, but after a short while, I found that food began to taste much better....and I feel so much better.
Sugar feeds cancer and causes so much damage to the human body. If only people could understand how addictive and truly unhealthy it is.

I look forward to more posts.
