It's amazing how we can connect with what he was singing 70 years ago. I think when we imagine past eras, we have the tendency to forget that they were real people with real struggles, surviving the human condition just like we are.

Definitely, like Woody Allen portrays in his film Midnight In Paris, we tend to see the past through rose colored glasses. Great work is timeless though. I love this old music, Fats Waller is one of my favorites.
