(Friday the 13th/NOT THE MOVIE) - The True Meaning *7/13/18*

in #life6 years ago (edited)

As everybody knows, today is Friday the 13th! Happy Friday!
Well, what does that mean?
To some, people it's just another day at the end of the week. Their meaning is, that it is now the weekend and time to party, and get ready for the next week of work.
Yet, the true meaning of this day is very dark and eerie due to a past event enacted on this day. As result, even currently, many people believe this day to be unlucky and/or cursed.
What happened on this day that was so bad, that worldwide people deem this day unlucky?
Well, many could point towards the "Knights Templar."

Let's start with a brief history of who the Knights Templar were.
These brave souls, were unmarried men, who followed Christ and the Temple of Solomon. Although they were founded in 1119, in Jerusalem, they were not recognized until 1139. They were said to be powered by God himself. They seemed to fight all odds and became the most elite soldiers in the known world. Many feared the Templar.
The Templar were created for a purpose. Yet, even to this day there are many different sources claiming the reason for their existence. The most recent reason, protectors of the "Bloodline of Christ." This was popularized by Dan Brown, the author of The Da Vinci Code. Others believe that they were to find biblical artifacts, to tell the history of our savior, Christ.
Why were they called to be executed so suddenly then? Did they find something so spectacular the powers of the world only wanted to bury it?

It was on this day, Friday the 13th in October during 1307, that King Phillip IV of France declared heresy on the Knights Templar, and ordered their execution. Now, it us under speculation whether Pope Clement the V was directly involved in invoking the knights or if he tried to dismiss them; trying to clear their name of such accusations. The Knights were declared as heretics. What was the reason? Why? What did they do or discover that was so bad or powerful, they were literally called to be put to death?
To this day no one will ever know.
The Christian faith still faces prosecution to this day.
Some things never change........

Nowadays, this is what people think of when they hear "Friday the 13th." A glorified scary movie. Don't get me wrong, it's made millions of dollars. Is it really that scary? I've seen it and can safely say that I would be more afraid of persecution and death because of my beliefs in life.
That is some scary $hi+.
