Better Work/Life Balance For Women

in #life4 years ago

Work is in, but that doesn't mean that the life-balance in a woman's life is any better. There is still the struggle to maintain an equilibrium in her life and her career. The struggle of balance has been accepted by many women in our culture. Most women are acutely aware of the struggle to find a balance in their lives.

There was a story about a woman who was preparing for her wedding with school girls at her side. All of a sudden she was hit by a vision of a wedding. She looked around at the group of school girls and asked herself: "What did I do wrong when I was planning my wedding?"

After that she began to struggle with the fact that she couldn't find balance. She realized that the result of the struggle is that there was a sense of dissatisfaction in her life. "Where is the meaning in my life? Where is the fulfillment in my life?"
We all want a better life. However, in order to have the life we desire it is necessary to find the right balance in our lives. Some women even feel that they are not doing enough to create the kind of life they desire.

The challenge for them is to find the one or two areas of their lives that need more attention. They must find ways to change the balance in their lives. In order to change the balance in their lives, they must make sacrifices and dedicate themselves to finding ways to achieve balance.

For example, a woman with a full-time job might be taking care of her family. If she made some changes in her life she could include her family in all the activities of her life. In order to accomplish this, she would have to drop her professional responsibilities for a while. In time, the balance in her life would return.

If she struggles with the decision of whether or not to sacrifice her career for the sake of her family, it is because she is making the wrong decision. She should evaluate her priorities. If she determined that sacrificing her professional life was important to her family, she could choose the balance of life that is important to her.

As you read this you have probably found your work/life balance. You may have achieved your goals in some areas, and you may be stuck in others. The key to getting out of these struggles is to commit yourself to your choices.
