Lookism

Dear steemit friends:

 In this day and age, people focus on looks and appearance more than anything else. In each country you find some ideals of beauty and fashion trends that almost everyone is forced to follow to stand up to society’s expectations. Not meeting up those standards set by society, forces the person to change his/her style and undergo plastic surgery only to be acknowledged and succeed. The bitter truth is that those trends tend change now and then. So what might be the ideal type today will be the opposite tomorrow.

When we go back home, everyone takes off those clothes, makeup, uncomfortable heels etc… “ Why bother wearing  something  painful? To look good in their eyes!” “What about you? Do you like it?” “It doesn’t matter to me since everyone likes it!” “It’s not good if everyone likes it, you should what you like not what they like.” 

At home you feel  more comfortable and free, since you can finally get rid of that mask and stupid act only to please them. You walk around naked, without clothes nor body. Just you, the real you. You stop focusing on what you’re wearing, what your body looks like, your crooked teeth which everyone makes fun of, your height, your skin color etc,… You start then to realize what your really are like. Stupid, unattractive, poor in the eyes of society but cool, warm-hearted and generous in reality.  Society failed to realize the truth of everyone since they only focused on the outside and ignored the inside.  

You are beautiful no matter who you are. Believe in yourself and ignore their negative comments. 화이팅 !
