One thing I learned in life is to not change yourself for other people, too! If they can't accept your new "you", then it is their problem. We all can't please everybody. We should do things for ourselves and not for others. Glad you've shut the door to your past. I was there too and it wasn't easy. Proud of you!
I am still learning on that part. I get upset when people upset but like you said. " we can't please anybody" . Do you have any tips on how to deal with the people who can't accept us?
Oh I didn't notice the typo - should be "We can't please everybody" :D
Well if they can't accept me, I leave them. You may do something else to cope but that really works well for me. Or think that not everyone has the same thinking as we have...
