YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE A MEDIATOR IN ALL ASPECTS OUR LIFE.?
According to the Dictionary of the Spanish language this word Mediation comes from Del lat. mediatio, -ōnis. Action and effect of mediating. In Law is the Activity developed by a person of trust of those who hold opposing interests, in order to avoid or end a litigation.
Therefore, a Mediator or a Mediator is the one that mediates between two people in conflict to achieve that they reach an agreement in the way that both feel satisfied.
This way of acting in all events of life I think that greatly contributes to many conflicts in our home, in our work and our activities of interrelation with society, can be managed better and avoid problems or damage greater than In general, they always arrive at the final point that is the calamity or conflagration, the inevitable and necessary solution that is not other than to sit down and converse and seek to settle or resolve the disagreements or disagreements; this happens in wars, in major world conflicts and in all situations of life.
However. An important element of any mediator must have the north is SEEKING WHAT ARE THE TRUE INTERESTS OF THE PARTIES in conflict, in order to take them to the best possible understanding and obtain a more real and satisfactory solution.
In the Mediation classes I attend, the case of an Orange, which is widely used and is cited by a connoted writer, always comes to mind. The example is that of two (2) brothers who had an orange in front of them, both wanted to keep it, that moment became a conflict since none wanted to give in and wanted to keep the Orange. The students were asked that in this situation they considered that the conflict was resolved. Some said that the strongest was left with the orange, others that one of them yielded and bought another. Several things or scenarios were said, but the one that had more strength of the possible solutions was that the orange was split in half and distributed among the 2 Brothers. In all this network of solutions never looked for or asked what was the true interest of the 2 brothers for the orange, or for that they wanted it. At the end of the exercise it was said that one of the brothers did not like oranges, and that he only wanted to use the orange shell for an experiment, and the other one wanted to eat it. In such a way that just by peeling it would be solved the conflict, since the other brother who wanted to eat the orange could access it and eat all the orange.
For this reason, I believe that the north that we must have when confronting a conflict is to really look for the true interests of the parties, and to achieve a true understanding.
That way of acting I consider that it is valid for all the situations of our lives and it helps us in the majority of cases to avoid an unnecessary dispute.
