Diabetes and Artificial Sweeteners
Type II Diabetes is a real blow to the unsuspecting victim who has enjoyed the sweet things in life and must, without warning, forego such pleasures for the rest of their life.
Many would have us believe that sugar replacement substances like Aspartame provide the same experience as sugar without the negative impact on our health.
I do not accept this assertion and personal experience combined with literature on the history and effects of these Substances has provided sufficient evidence for me that the while sugar is a real killer for millions each year and robs us of health in many ways, these products may well provide an even greater threat on an individual basis with diseases like multiple Sclerosis.
It has long been known that Aspartame has been associated with a range of serious diseases and research has established links between Aspartame and Alzheimer's, Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, premature birth and many other conditions.
The primary cause is the methanol toxicity.
Research has been hampered in this field as animal experiments have failed due to the fact that humans are alone in that they do not have a mechanism which converts methanol to formic acid, which does not harm us.
Dr. Woodrow Monte wrote a book on the subject called While Science Sleeps: A Sweetener Kills which highlights the production of formaldehyde in those consuming Aspartame. Formaldehyde being the substance used to preserve specimens in bio-labs.
I first heard about the formaldehyde problem after the first Gulf War, when returned troops presented with MS like symptoms and a range of other conditions which were then associated with Aspartame containing liquid refreshments shipped to them and left in the sun. A situation which resulted in excessive formaldehyde production in these refreshments.
MILITARY ADMITS GULF WAR ILLNESS IS FROM ASPARTAME
Here is an excerpt from Dr. Mercola's writing about Dr. Monte's results :
The artificial sweetener industry (and makers of artificially sweetened products) has fervently claimed that aspartame is harmless, and that there's "no biological explanation" for the health problems reported by so many after consuming Aspartame.
But as explained by Dr. Monte, there is indeed a biological and scientific explanation for aspartame's pathway of harm, and as the latest research suggests, it' s related to the effects of methanol and formaldehyde, both of which are extremely toxic.
Aspartame is primarily made up of aspartic acid and phenylalanine—the latter of which has been synthetically modified to carry a methyl group. This is what prov ides the majority of the sweetness. That phenylalanine methyl bond, called a methyl ester, is very weak, allowing the methyl group on the phenylalanine to easily break off and form methanol.
You may have heard the claim that aspartame is harmless because methanol is also found in fruits and vegetables. However, in these whole foods the methanol is firmly bonded to pectin, which allows it to be safely passed through your digestive tract. This is not the case for the methanol created by aspartame. There, it's not bonded to anything that can help eliminate it from your body. That's problem number one...
Problem number two relates to the fact that humans are the only mammals who are NOT equipped with a protective biological mechanism that breaks down methanol in to harmless formic acid. This is why animal testing of aspartame does not fully apply to humans.
According to Dr. Monte, the fact that methyl alcohol is metabolized differently in humans compared to other animals has been known since 1940. And according to the featured paper, rhesus monkeys do not appear to have the same defenses again st methanol toxicity as mice do. This basically negates much of the animal research that has been used to "prove" aspartame's safety.

The rise of Aspartame
Efforts were made last century to ban aspartame, at a time when there were only five products with aspartame in them. There are now many thousands of such products.
Guess who is behind it.
Monsanto purchased the rights to produce aspartame, the active ingredient in NutraSweet, and you can imagine the rest, but here is a history of this crime against humanity.
How Aspartame Became Legal - The Timeline
I have merely touched on the subject of toxicity by artificial sweeteners and referred to a few of the many who are producing information on this subject and advise any who are inclined to consume these products to ensure that the products they choose are not likely to produce decades of vegetative existence at the expense and trauma of the those who would have to care for them.
I have a loved one who has been reduced to such an existence and while this must be truly horrific to her, it is seriously traumatic for me. I don't recommend it to anyone.

This is a huge problem and may end up being bigger than the sugar problem in time. They got the fat/sugar debate wrong and they may realise the artificial sweeteners are in fact deadlier.
I tend to sway to Stevia where I can. But I'm a sugar free soda drinker and I've got to stop, because I feel these man made chems to simply sweeten should not be entering our bodies.
Great post! Thank you.
I think the artificial sweetener already decorate various soft drinks and food. I also very often see the children prefer to finish drinking soda than drinking mineral water. They drink it up to several bottles a day. It is exacerbated by bad lifestyle and rarely exercise. Currently young people who indicated diabetes symptoms are very much before they are old. thank you for the long explanation about aspartame.
Now a days common disease Diabetes...
whole world
thanks for share a health tips
awesome mate
Its a great scientific information. Its awareness and great help of humanity. Thanks for sharing such a valuable post.
Wow really educating
yes
prevention is better than cure, stay fit stay humble, eat less cholesterol foods the diabetes won't affect you
The rise of Diabetes Type II in the developed world is at an all time high. Sugar is found in massive quantities in most processed foods. With our greater wealth, consumption of processed foods increases and with more sedentary lifestyles, one of the consequences if the onset of diabetes.
The use of artificial sweeteners like saccharin, acesulfame, aspartame, neotame, and sucralose may have reduced some of the effects of sugar, their consumption have also led to new issues as you rightly mention in your post.
So what shall we do?
Try to figure out what you consume at a granular level - portions, composition, etc. Consume in smaller quantities. Try to stick to fresh food. Minimise consumption of processed food. Exercise regularly.
thanks
Great contribution. Thank you.
Excellent informative post. How do scientists and the people behind companies like monsanto sleep at night. They are committing crimes against humanity FFS!
