At Vlogmail, we offer regular personal and professional development through inspiration, motivation, and training. Today we, are sharing "Top 12 Things That People Who Are Strong But Tired Know All Too Well".
Sure, you have to be strong and hold your own but what happens when you finally reach the end of your string? How do you hold on when you aren’t sure how to even continue moving forward?
Well to be completely honest, when you’re strong and exhausted at the same time self-care becomes far more important than anything else. You become more of yourself than you were before and you really learn to stand your own ground in more ways than other people could imagine.
Of course, some of these things are easier said than done, but they are all quite familiar to those who have experienced strength through their worst moments. Positivity can be found in some of the most unexpected places. Just because you’re tired doesn’t mean you’re losing who you are.
1. You stop letting people get to know you.
When you’re strong and tired at the same time you begin to see that you shouldn’t let everyone close. Some people don’t deserve to have you in their life. Your own well-being is important and if those who you’re letting in are compromising that you need to be aware.
2. You realize that sometimes it’s okay to stay in bed.
Sometimes there is nothing wrong with staying in bed and sleeping in. While you won’t always be able to do this, from time to time it comes in handy. This will make you feel so much better and leave you in a new mindset that can bring you to a happier place in the long-run.
3. People no longer understand you and you don’t care if they do.
When you’re exhausted and strong at the same time the people who usually come to you aren’t going to necessarily understand you anymore. Because of where you are in your life you’re not going to care about this one too much but it is still quite present. Remaining in charge of your life and not letting others define you during this time is important.
4. You are not afraid to ask for help.
When you’re unable to move forward you turn to the people who support you. Your support system is there for you when no one else is. When you need help, all you have to do is ask and you are finally beginning to see that.
5. You become more honest about your emotions than you’ve ever been.
While it might be hard at first the more you feel the more honest you will become with the people you care for and your own emotions. You are not going to continue to close yourself off and let people tell you what to do. If you aren’t feeling right in something, you make yourself clear and change things accordingly.
6. You are not as willing to waste time as you once were.
Because of how exhausted you’ve become, you’re finally able to see things as they are. You no longer want to waste any of your time doing things that don’t matter to you. Your time is valuable and you realize it more than ever.
7. You close yourself off from things that no longer matter.
The things that do not serve a purpose in your life are no longer going to be a part of it. The more time that passes the more that you look for things to engage in that make you happier and help you build. If something is bringing you down, you cut yourself off from it.
8. You are willing to embrace the negative side of things.
Rather than forcing yourself to see the positive side of things, you begin to embrace the negative side of things. You allow the negative side to exist without allowing it to overcome you. In the end, you really make things work properly.
9. You begin diving into the deep pits of your being to figure things out.
Because you don’t exactly understand what you’re facing you begin diving within. You search inside of yourself to figure things out. The more that you try the easier things become and the more you uncover.
10. You learn how important it is to be vulnerable and raw.
Being vulnerable is something that you’ve never spent much time engaging in. You’re beginning to see that sometimes you have to show your rawest side to really get yourself out there and heal properly. Regardless of what you’re going through being true to who you are is extremely important.
11. You stop letting people tell you how to live your life.
When you’re exhausted and still working to remain strong you will also begin to see how controlling people can be. In doing this you are also learning that letting people control you is not a good thing. The more that this goes on the more independent you become and with good reason.
12. You decide how to move forward and make positive changes to reflect that.
Once you’ve managed to come to terms with all of the things listed above you will begin to work on a plan to move forward in life. In doing this you will begin to make changes and begin to see things in a more positive light. The longer that this continues the better you end up feeling overall. You are capable of a lot more than you might think.
