my favorite hiking spot
Good evening fellow Steemians, I was going through some pictures from the last few months and I wanted to share with you one of my all time FAVORITE spots to day hike! Pinnacle Peak is in the middle of Rainier National Park out here in Washington. The trail is roughly 2.5-3 miles long but the elevation gain makes it the second highest peak and gives some absolutely breathtaking views.
at the top, the trail opens up into a huge valley where miles and miles of terrain can be seen, but my favorite part of this hike is the straight up shale climbing you take to get to the true peak of this mountain:
the climb to the top is dangerous and is not for the feint of heart as one loose rock can be the end of your journey but if you're brave enough to scale the final ascent, the reward will have you feeling like you're on top of the world
