Your dreams are bigger than these war tanks - Dream fearlessly!
When you were still a kid, you dreamed you could be anything- a doctor, scientist, police officer, fireman, pilot, teacher, chef or even a superhero - anything and everything seemed possible.
(All photos were taken in 2016 in Baguio City, Philippines where we celebrated my son's 3rd birthday.)
Just last night, before going to bed, I had a pillow talk with my four-year old son. I ask him, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" he excitedly replied, "I want to be a fireman because I want to shoot water on fire!" and seconded it with "I want to be a policeman because I want a police car! In my thoughts, "Wow, my son has many dreams already, and he now knows what he wants at an early age!
Communicating with our kids is one o the most pleasurable and meaningful parts of parenting. Let us encourage them to embrace their dreams. This will become a solid foundation of self-understanding and awareness.
Pillow talk questions are good conversation starters and a great way to connect with your child at a heart-level.
The passions children have are clues to what their lives will become.
Kids with dreams become adults with vision.
There's joy and wonder everywhere when you see the world through the eyes of a child.
Little kids with big dreams grow into big people with big missions for life.
To my son, Zean. You might be a little man, but you have BIG dreams, even BIGGER THAN THESE WAR TANKS!
This is so lovely. May you let him know this every other night..
