Benefit from Growing your own Lavender
Hello Lovely
Grow your own lavender it’s fun.
Lavender is very easy to propagate from cuttings; they attract bees, butterflies and other friendly insects to your garden that helps with the overall health and produce of all the other plants. Lavender plants love a sunny spot and are drought resistant, but semi-shade will also do and all plants prosper next to lavender.

Cover the roots of lavender with grass cuttings or dried leaves during a drought to protect their roots and your lavender will flourish with once a month watering. Prune your lavender back often and it will turn into a lush bush, grow some lavender near your kitchen for ease of access to this fragrant joy in your world.
Lavender makes beautiful and fragrant hedges and is evergreen, use it for an interesting and attractive hedge around you veggie garden that protects it from most pests, the only thing that bypass the radar of lavender are snails and slugs, for them you may use wood ash or eggshells if you want to keep your garden organic.

Wood ash and eggshells both benefit your plants as natural fertilizers, rich in calcium and other nutrients. Wood ash and charcoal retains the moisture of the soil, helping you and your garden to prosper and to enjoy each other.
Once you have all the lavender plants you could dream of in your garden, you may continue to make more plants from cuttings and keep them as gifts for your visitors, I enjoy giving gifts from my garden to visitors and almost everyone wants lavender once they have walked through my garden and enjoyed all the lovely fragrances.
