Life’s Defense
My name is life, I will like to tell you little about myself.
I am a gift from nature by God, always to be what I am, how I am and how people think I am but I will always be life.
People tend to think how mean I am thereby complaining here and there about me, some say I am wicked, some say I am short, and some say I am too short perhaps some say I am too long. I have always been fair in my existence because I am sweet to those who see me to be sweet and I am bitter to those who see me to be a bitter gift.
Many complain that I cease to exist among the good ones but favor the bad ones thereby saying the good live to die early while the bad live long. Is it true?
Answering it myself as life, I would like to say I am assigned to do, to be and to undo respectively as programmed by the creator.
I exist in different forms but my existence is as basically known to be from God to man through the nostril in form of air making me to be everywhere, in essence you will keep on breathing me in and out till the day I seize to exist in you.
According to Tom Baranski, “Life is anything that grows and eventually dies, i.e., ceases to proliferate and be cognizant”, yes I agree I can be that and can be more of that.
I give time to every existing human, to actualize his or her dreams but some always misuse this opportunity and time because I am time, I can’t wait for the unserious thereby keeping the serious ones waiting, I have to be fair and I have been fair.
Mr. Okon was once told to honor his mother’s death by depriving himself food for some weeks, he saw it absurd, for he imagined if honoring his mother that way would be safe then there is need to it but on the contrary he will be sick for the two weeks without food, without water.
He took an option to do it with water and at a stipulated time to start and to stop within the two weeks, on this effect his kinsmen banished him, Okon was not there to witness his mother’s final exit.
This made Okon over shadowed his thoughts about life, was it fair he was banished?
Was it proper to follow the honoring process in turn endangering his life?
Would he have done it? If so what could have happened to him?
On the final note it disturbed him more for he was not there to watch the mother’s proper interment.
Fellow readers kindly help me out, how am I (life) supposed to be blamed in this scenario?
Man is always a problem to his problems, man is always a success to himself. I am always here to do my work as the fact of existence. Permit me to say I am a special gift and stop seeing me as a meaningless gift.
Take me the way you think and I will show you how to think about me (life).
This is a fun little philosophical treatise on life. Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by, you are welcome.
