Shorting BTC on Bitmex? Losing My Whole Account Value

Is shorting Bitcoin using 100x leverage a good idea? Let me know what you think in the comments and i'll do my best to respond and tell you my opinions as well. I am looking to start using margin trading to make back some of the losses that I experienced during this horrible bear market.
