Vlog 216: Bigger names trying out the steem blockchain + STEEM price.

in #life7 years ago (edited)

I'm very happy with the stability of the STEEM price at the moment.

I can't proof it but I sort of belief that when something stays within a certain range ($2.5-$5) for long enough it forms a new bottom.

There was always a small fear in the back of my mind that we will see 30 cent STEEM again, but that seems very unlikely now just like I don't think $700 bitcoin is likely anytime soon.

Luckily for us of course is that the STEEM price matters less than for Bitcoin. We can still earn STEEM by creating content or other means regardless of price.

I always seen that as a huge plus with this blockchain.

Other cool news is that slowly more and more big names from youtube are discovering the power of the STEEM blockchain.

Furious Pete (@furiouspete123) being the latest one and the first one I actually knew from before Steemit even existed.

He has 5 million subscribers on youtube and been uploading there for over 10 years.

For me, these numbers boggle my mind.

Especially because we only have 600.000 accounts on the blockchain in total.

There is still so much room for growth! It's fantastic.

I talk about it more in my vlog.

I am a witness with our developer group @blockbrothers for the Steem blockchain. If you want to support us I would appreciate your vote here.

We build Steemify a notification app for your Steemit account for iOS.

Charisma on Command, Hodgetwins and Furious Pete, if this is not the sign of going viral, then nothing is.

Don't forget about us!

Thanks for sharing those names!

I truly agree with you.. More big names to come

@tjkirk also joined recently he’s been a youtube for like 10 years. (The amazing atheist)

I've joined steemit.com because of his video on d.tube

Especially because we only have 600.000 accounts on the blockchain in total.

750.000!

I agree! The stability of Steem has been great and does offer up an indication of a bottom. The 3 & 6 month charts are looking as bullish as you could want. We could still have a pull back from here but not likely to the $0.30 Steem you were taking about. I would say $0.90 - $1.50 at the lowest. It’s also my thought that we likely have to wait it out for at least a few more months before we break out and see some legitimately higher prices! Thanks for the post!

More than 45,000 new accounts were created last week... A new weekly record, which itself prove how much potential Steem Blockchain upholds in terms of growth...Surely every person who uses any social media platform will ultimately come to this great platform.

Fantastic numbers!

Indeed!

I've stayed away from social media for several years now but a friend of mine mentioned it to me last week, I spent a few days just kind of lurking and reading, and figured that this was probably the best place to get back into it. There's more encouragement for something good here than I recall seeing anywhere else. I like that most of all.

Now I just need to get the basics down after being away for so long! :/

758.000 total accounts!

I hope so, it's a better place for authors, and a better place for curators. It's win win!

The growth of our network is very astonishing. There's really a good chance we'll be flying to the moon soon :)

Certainly, this platform is going boom

I had my Steem birthday this week. And it took two weeks for the approval from steem. So probably much more to come!

45k new accts last week great news, no wonder Facebook have banned me from advertising my Steemit course there

you got banned for promoting steemit? can you givre some info about what happend? I promote steemit and applications on the steemblockchain on facebook so i'd like to know whats going on.

I was poking around Facebook this weekend (please don't judge me lol) and saw a few of my friends complaining about YouTube and how they basically slapped all creators unless they had like 1000 followers or something...

I of course, went in and suggested Dtube lol

This place is amazing and will continue to grow and attract serious influencers. I am still pinching myself every day that I got in when I did...

You must be doing back flips LOL

Awesome post, what a great message to start the week and get us fired up for this platform and blockchain!!

Yep, I would never want to rely on youtube to choose whether or not to pay me for my content.

Totally agree with you, my friend, the stability of the Steem gives us the starting point for moving forward and very much hope the bottom of the price will be at this point! It would also be great if such a huge traffic from the Youtube moved into our ecosystem, that would become a crazy leap forward! Thank you Mark.

Hey man. I'm fascinated by brewing and I can't way for the day that I'll have my own place for brewing . Making your own shit is always better than buying . I envy you a little :)

It's my buddy @fabrews that did most of the work. I'm looking forward to Saturday for sure.

Nice post again @exyle. You always have my upvote. So far, steem has been the best investment I had. I never lost a single penny with steem :)

Steemit will grow much more this year, big names bring big publicity. It's great to see @furiouspete123 joining Steemit, he has a lot of fans. For me, the great name on Steemit this year was Andreas Antonopoulos, he has done a lot for cryptocurrencies in general.

Hi @exyle. When you say you think it will take 2 years of grind nowadays to get anywhere on Steemit. I was wondering what you were thinking would be the end point? Are you talking about 2 years to get to a certain amount of SP or Steem or reputation? Would be really interested to know what levels you think make the difference. Thanks!

It depends on what your goals are. I think I was more thinking along the lines of a building solid network, followers, steempower and rep. It's something you have to do every day but I also think you need to enjoy it otherwise it's almost impossible to keep up.

Of course you can also use this place from time to time and just enjoy the freedom that it brings. That's the beauty of it. Almost anything goes here. I checked out your blog. I see you are very consistent. Good job!

Thank you. I appreciate you taking to time to reply.

I only recently came across your vblogs and I really enjoy them. You seem to have a balanced approach whilst being open to change. I like that you're a huge fan of Steemit without being wedded to it. That makes me sit up and listen to your views.

I am posting every day. In two days it will be my 2 month anniversary and this second month, unsurprisingly has been much harder than the first. A bit of a roller coaster.

The trick, as you say is to enjoy it. I am still finding my way with that. It's so easy to become distracted by who's earning what, for what type of post and not get disgruntled at all the high earning memes etc.

I am going to give DTube a try, probably starting with my 2 month post. But, from what I've seen, there's a massive imbalance there too. Most of the trending posts are all about crypto, DTube, Steemit, Steem etc.

Underneath it all though, I've met some great people here, and learned stuff I would never have done elsewhere and that's what keeps me going. 😊

Thanks again for your support. It's very encouraging!

i think its two years for people who just started joining this platform. i really hope its like that.
