A Life Giving Colourful Celebration in the Mindfulness of Remembrance Day

Lest we forget, life goes on, and for it to endure, it is important for us all to find solid grounds on positive and realistic attitudes toward life. As the rains of Remembrance day are pounding us with the heaviness of our lost ones, I thought a bit of a bright colourful addition to the mix could bring about a bit of balance to what may very well be a hard day for many…

Being biased one way or another doesn’t help us at all as it blinds us to the realities constantly offering themselves presently, now. Choosing to be positive doesn’t mean not to remember the grand-fathers, uncles, and loved ones who have perished at the hands of war. I rather means that one choses to take an active decision in turning toward the light, toward options that will help one to sustain life instead of destroying it. For this reason, I like to keep an even keel by finding equilibrium through silence, music, and a healthy dose of warm soups, blankets, time spent in nature and good company. Cooking healthy thoughts, makes a healthier mindset, so does soul food of all nature.

Cultivating cancer like thoughts, actions and sharing results in creating a cancer like environment that incrusts itself into our minds, body and actions, spreading itself and, more often than otherwise, replicate itself. Unless met with a decisive wall of love and compassion, often accompanied by a dose of kindness and/or humour, this dis-ease will propagate.

What are we to do with the garden of our souls today plant in a light heart, consciously tilling our environment with mindfulness or not? I sure try and make a stand as often as possible, first toward myself and, thus, toward others as well as I start to radiate of this light. Then, specifically toward others, when the inner strengths offer a solid ground to launch from and, more importantly, land back on in case of potential backlash.

Keeping of our own levels of energies within ourselves allows us to decide whether to retreat within or keep move outwardly. When we can, it is our responsibility to keep our glass at least half full. If we can’t, it is also our responsibility to set ourselves for success in relation to this with, what would my friend Guido call the 3Ps, proper prior preparations… Thus, beyond the passing over of our elders, beloveds and inspirations, keeping the soil of our soul, mind and/or spirit healthy is a must as we owe it to the generation to come for life to endure.

Thanks a lot for the kind words, resteeming and upvoting so graciously! Namaste :)

Being naturally hopeful ( I know I may not look like that, but trust me on this one 😁) can take a toll on me especially when I feel down in the dumps and weird thoughts are echoing in my head...things don't make sense anymore and I choose to retreat in my own world until I feel it's safe to get out. Sometimes it takes days, sometimes it takes months.

Music, mantras and especially time alone with myself helps.

Happy Tuesday @eric-boucher and Namaste!

I'm so glad to your your words today, I missed your presence on the platform. You have a very strong spirit felt all the way out here in British Columbia, never mind the real web, the spiritual one on which we all flow...

Music, mantras and time alone are also some of my top choices as well. Often, traditional Indian music and soothing music from all over the world. Do you have any musical suggestions? I may have a suggestion or two, if not 42, for you! ;)

Happy Tuesday @szuri, keep on Steeming, shinning and thriving!

Namaste :)

I would appreciate it if you could suggest me 3 :) Ha!

I really do need some music to soothe my mind as I feel I've lost my mojo somewhere on the path.

Much love from me :) ❤

Well, it is not the number that lacks, so here are a few of my very favourite ones, in relation to relaxing, finding the peace within and so forth:
1- "CRYSTAL BOWLS CHAKRA CHANTS", by Jonathan Goldman & Crystal Tones;
2- "DESERT OF CLOUDS", by Victor Chorobik;
3- "SACRED CHANTS OF SHIVA", as well as
"108 SACRED NAMES OF MOTHER DIVINE" and
"MOOLA MANTRA", by Deva Premal;
4- "SUFI SPLENDOR", by Manish Vyas & Dina Awwad;
5- "TIBETAN MASTER CHANTS: LAMA TASHI", recorded by Jonathan Goldman and
sung by Lama Tashi himself;
6- "THE SPIRIT OF INDIA", "THREE RAGAS", "WEST MEETS EAST", by Ravi shankar,
as well as Yehudi Menuhin on the last one;
7- "ETERNAL LIGHT", by Lakshmirayana Shankar, Zakir Hussain & co.;
8- "NOUVELLES CORDES ANCIENNES", (a.k.a. "NEW OLD STRINGS")
by Toumani Diabaté & Ballaké Sissoko.

This set of CDs quite easily found on the net range from excellent to masterpiece in their styles and I'm pretty sure you'd be able to sample them on the net as well before buying the real full definition CD for its highest quality and potency of experience.

Enjoy! I wish I was there to share stories about them after you would have had a listen, they are mind blowing albums or great powers...

Namaste :)

Thank you from bottom of my little heart :)

That touched something. Thank you!

I experience the great poles in life as it is very much often to endure and on the other side ever so pleasant. I observe my surrounding as extreme which is symptomatic of our way of life.

The complexity of technology and bureaucracy tortures me in time. So it is imperative to have my refuge and balance. You've given valuable clues; much by the way you write.

Thank you so very much, your comment is heartfelt and equally filled with deeper meaning carried by a prose which colludes with my mind.

Much gratitude for being part of this journey with you here on Steemit.com, namaste :)
