Good Health is Priceless Wealth

We live in a world where people care little or less about good health as a result of varied complex factors ranging from fear to firm.

The fear of losing money, firm and relevance has brought a lot of damage to public health as a whole. People are no longer concern about the health and balance of the environment and the ecosystem at large.

Because you want to make money, you have even forgotten to eat well and reduce the quality and length of sleep because the turn around time (TAT) has to be met. Practices and beliefs that are inimical to their very existence are rather celebrated than opposed.

Recently, it was reported that a famous and one of the youngest CEO fell down and died instantly. What was the reason? It was gathered that he makes a daily run to keep fit, he eats well and medically examined diets, but he only sleeps for 30 minutes in 24 hours.

The only reason for that was that he wanted to maintain the he legacies he had created, he was afraid to loss relevance and money!

And know what? Nature abhors vacuum. The rest he didn't have, the sleep he didn't sleep when he was alive, now that his body has dropped his spirit, he will sleep till eternity.

Our body is an organized system and requires attention and routine maintenance. All your wishes and aspiration will be nothing the moment your physical body drops your spirit. The moment you are sick, all the plans you had will be stalled.

So, give your body the required time and care needed to recuperate after a day's job. I know many steemians will fall into this category because the way t to make as many post as they can a day ignoring other things that could help their Health.

On the other hand, it has become a cultural shock as people do a lot of things that upsets the balance of the ecosystem and that of their immediate environment.

A young man around my neighborhood was so much after money that he had to procure drums of petrol, stock them in his room, and guess what? He died that night. The money he was after ended his life as he suffocated due to insufficient oxygen.

Also imagine the extended damage that would have happened if there was a spark... Boom.... The whole place would have been on fire, killing scores of people and rendering many others homeless.

The industries are not left out as most industries do not adhere to the OSHA standard recommended for engagement of workers.

Money is good when there is Health. And Health is Priceless even without money.

Some Tips for Maintaining Good Health

  • Eat every morning before leaving for work even if it is a slice of bread. Don't go on empty stomach.
  • Ensure your diets are not one sided.
  • Have at least six hours of quality sleep at night.
  • Ensure enough and cross ventilation in your room to avoid unnecessary headache and fatigue.
  • Have and limit your screen hours to rest the nerves of the eyes and brain.
  • Avoid exposure to noise level above the acceptable decibel.
  • Make a routine run to keep fit.
  • Avoid drug and substance abuse.
  • Go for routine medical check-up.
