introduction to me!

in #life7 years ago

Hello, fellow Steamers and Steamits! (I think that’s right). My life passion is creating and designing and sharing the knowledge with others, since a young age this has always been a passion of mine, I have never been a great writer nor been a person to be in front of a camera but I made a resolution to try and improve in 2018 and further years. Well here goes my story… I never really cared for going outside and I never really cared too much for school. I always took as a joke; you sit in class for 6 hours talking and copying things down (at least that’s How I took it). So college wasn’t really an option for me, without really good grades there’s no scholarship and it was just something I wasn’t into. The school did teach me a few big things including how to procrastinate and how to take other peoples ideas and switch them around and get the same outcome (Haha). Junior year I somehow convinced my parents to put me in an online homeschool program where it’s just the Internet course and I. Now you might be thinking for a 16-year-old kid with ADD-HD x4 to have the self-control to finish his schooling on his own, not in a schooling environment. Well, that’s when I said to my self I want to learn more than just basic education, I want to be able to apply this basic education I learn to something that I will use in the real world to make myself more intrigued.
So that’s when one day I walked into one of the biggest motorcycle builder and aftermarket parts and apparel, Roland Sands Design. I’ve always had a passion for motorcycles since I first started riding them around age 3 and have raced off-road and built a few bikes by this point. I started working there shortly fulltime I would wake up early do a few hours of school work then head to work at 8:30 am come home at 7 pm and finish up my work for the day. So I guess for a 16year old kid I was pretty busy but I was enjoying every second of it, I was leaning stuff I would never learn in school, EVER! From designing products on CAD software to fabricating the design into an actual product you can hold in your hand to planning events and much more. Fast forward some time working there (will go into more detail on another post) I built a bike for one of the biggest motorcycle gatherings in the world called Sturgis, Raced 500lb Indian and Harley flat track race bikes all over the place, traveled over 4k miles on motorcycle in a couple weekend rides including riding to Sturgis majority by myself then met up with some friends along the way and many more crazy things which I appreciate for RSD because without them it wouldn’t happen. I recently left RSD to pursue my passion, in retrospect I wish I would’ve stayed but hey they say everything happens for a reason right? So In the past year, which would’ve been my junior year of high school I’ve learned and experience much more than I would’ve in school and gained a lot of friends along the way. In May of 2017, I was able to finish all of my classes and graduate early. (Forgot to include that). I have yet to have an exact plan on what I want to do in the future but I have a few ideas. I’m really not to sure I am going to theme my Steemit account but I will have to do a lot with different Ideas and installations I do with a touch of traveling and new technology I experience. Here are a few picture that help describe how I live.
