Hello Everyone.

We all got some stories which happened to us in our life, some of them are funny, some are bad and the others are stories which can learn us something.
I would like to describe my story that costed me £250 and learned me that not everything is occasion and how easy we can lose money being greedy and naive.

This is real story happened to me in one of the UK city, I'm not English by the way.

Ok Lets begin.

That was a Saturday 16 of December 2017, i had to buy few gifts and sweets and gets everything done before we go with my girlfriend and friend in travel to our country one week later for Christmas.
Ok almost bought everything, just one store left, i drove down, parked my, when i have been on my way to entrance of the store i have heard that someone whisper from the white van:
Man in the van: Do you want to buy some telly ?
Me: I don't nedd it, thanks
M V: You sure ? i have cheap 4k tellies
Me: No thank You, (but in the same moment i have reminded that my friend wanted to buy one)
Me: Excuse me, what tv you got ? My friend's looking to buy one so maybe you have got something interesting.
M V: Shhh... let me park somewhere.

He parked at the one of the bays, and showed me that he's got some TV's on the back of his van, some of them been wrapped in black stretch foil and bubble wrap, and also there was a few boxes of Samsung 4k tellies.

M V: I've got 55 inches and 49 all 4k, which one you wan to ?
Me: How much ?
M V: 250£
Me: No thank You , anyway i don't need tv, but my friend looking for one, so maybe he would like to buy. I'm asking for him.
M V: Listen, this is brand new tellies, 4k , Samsung 8 Series, cost around 1000£ in shops.
ME: All right, where did you get them from ?
M V: I work in Amazon company, and i have loaded few pieces which are not scanned. So i have option to sell them now for good price, otherwise i will take them back to depot.

I knew it that is something smell here, also i had thoughts that it might be illegal.

M V: Ok, i have no time, how much you can pay ?
ME: £100
M V: £120 please, look, new tellies, you will not find anywhere for that price.

I have been confused, but i said to myself ''ok i give it a go''.

ME: Ok but i ain't got money , i would have to withdrawal.
M V: Down the road, on the right hand side you have cash machine.

Few minutes later:

M V: Ok which one you want ? 49 or 55?
ME : 55 please

He loaded TV into my car, and asked my about my friend.

M V: What about your friend?
ME: Let me call him as i don't have more money on this card.

I rang my friend and explained whole situation, asked him if he would be interested. He said yes. OK so do a transfer to my account right now.

I took another TV for £130.

I have asked the seller, is it everything fine with that tellies ?

M V : Yes do not worry, i will give you my number just in case if anything happen, also have look i just parked my car here under the camera, do you think i would risk to scam you ?

ME : OK thanks.

After i get back to home i called my friend down ,as he lives with me. I said that we need to unload the TV's. He could not believe that i bought two brand new Samsung's 4k , 8 series . We both been so happy

While we've been unloading, he asked me ''did you check them?'' and i answered '' how can i check them on the road? - anyway i have got mobile number for that guy and also a plate number just in case''.

Ok that's good he replied.

Few moment later that was a time for unpacking, all that time we had been excited how good deal it was.

Until... it was partially unpacked

... then we saw that the telly is definitely not new, and also has a smashed screen

Our faces didn't look smiley anymore

Both of tellies has got smashed screens, anyway they were not Samsung's but some Polaroid's.
But it did no matter anymore...

We just lost £250.

Some of you might think, why the hell you did not check them, why you not unwrapped them before you bought them.

My answer is : I don't know

It was happening so fast, i felt like blind man, i haven't seen anything wrong.

After that i began to see that what i didn't saw earlier, for e>.g that tellies has been to thick to be a Samsung 8000 series, the labels on the black wrap foil has been Printed straight from online sites (where you can see icons to share on fb, twitter etc) all that was on printed label of ''Samsung 4k 49 inches 8000 series'', i just haven't seen it.

That's how it works - everything is in rush to make you confused and they don't let you think too much, you need to decided quick if you want that telly or not as situation is not comfortable and seller make an press on you that he is in rush and have to go back quickly to depot.

So that was my story how i have lost £250 together with my friend.

I was not angry, because i have knew it that was my fault, is shouldn't buy anything ''on the road'' especially that kind of stuff. That was a lesson for which i had to pay for.

How i know that was a Irish man ? Because he's accent been different and after all i have googled and it turned out to be an very old trick used in past with some Irish man's.

And on the end i can say that i have been greedy and naive, i believed that i can have brand new telly for that money which is worth £1000 in the shops, but anyway thankfully to that, it was a lesson for the future.

Be careful guys because occasion like i had are not exist :), anyway if anything happen to you, some unpleasant situation , just don't cry and blame yourself everyday, draw conclusions of mistakes you made.

Thanks :)
