RE: The Marathon Weekend, Narcolepsy and Bears

Enjoy this big event @slobberchops and our American 'medical' is mainly pill pushing. I'd say stay off any thyroid medicine if at all possible. My niece when on it a few years back then discovered a natural way she'd like to address it and then found out that the 'medicine' permanently shrunk her thyroid and it will NOT function now unless she always uses this medication...she was not happy and feels trapped by it, just a heads up.

Enjoy the city, I love London.

I had a slightly underactive thyroid a few years ago, and I knew so many people who were on the conventional thyroid meds and who had found them helpful at first, but then many of their old symptoms came back. So I did a bit of research and started taking high doses of iodine instead. It worked for me, and I documented my progress in a YouTube video diary. It's interesting for me to look back and see how sluggish and puffy-faced I looked back then! My YT channel name is Freethinking Health. I'm not saying this treatment is for everyone, but it worked for me. There are some good books on the subject too.

That's a scary tale... maybe I'll just put up with falling asleep for the rest of my life. Some things are worse than others.
