On the road to Croatia part 2

Hello dear steemians!

Yesterday we left Austria for the second part of our trip to Croatia.

Auatria was beautifull as you have seen in my previous post!

Today we finally reached our destination in Croatia and it is really pretty out here. The only bad thing was that we have had a 3 hour traffic jam before the border patrol from Austria to Slovenia.

This picture was taken on the other side of the border and as you can see there is quite a traffic jam.

Also when we arrived in Slovenia the weather turned drastically. Apparently in Slovenia it is quite normal that there falls a lot of rain because of the high mountains there. And in this picture you can see how our view was at that moment.

From Slovenia to Croatia was a little drive and when we crossed this border (after a relatively short traffic jam) the sun came back where we wanted it to be.

From here on it was only 100 km to our destination and with the sun high in the sky and no planned traffic jams our moral was high! So we set sail to our home for the next 7 days.

This was one of the first things we saw when we arrived. And doesn't this pool just looks amazing? Believe me, after driving for 22 hours we couldn't wait to jump right into it!

But ofcourse I first needed to help out the ladies with their pool addition. And surprise, surprise they gave it a name. So let me introduce you to the newest member of the vacation family: Frans the flamingo.

So, after we jumped straight into the pool we went our for dinner. We went to the first and best restaurant around the corner and even tho it didn't tasted great it sure did look good. You may judge yourself.

After this plate full of goodness and some lovely sardine fishes we went back to our house and opened up some 'pivos' what is croatisch for the word 'beer's'. After my first cold one I couldn't resist the urge to jump in the pool again at 00:30, and so I did, while I was striking my favorite pose the next picture was taking. FYI the pool doesn't contain ice, though it might look like this.

After this cold and refreshing dive in the pool we went to sleep, cause we were really exhausted from the journey.

So that was part 2 of our trip to Croatia!
