Keep your dirty government hands off Venezuela
No matter if you support the elected president or not, we must recognize a sovereign country's democratic election. We (the USA) have no room to criticize another countries elections. In fact, our system of elections is extremely corrupt and undemocratic in many ways. Let the people elect their leaders without the big bad USA coming in to reek havoc if the results do not agree with our corporate agenda.

What the US is doing to Venezuela is like if China declared Nancy Pelosi president of the US simply because they like her better than him... Why have the election in the first place if the ruling elite and corporations can undo democratic elections with appointees?
Lately, we have seen the corporate media spreading propaganda in support of this US backed coup. The administration wants this to be a great distraction from their legal troubles and failing domestic policies.
But why does the average news consumer want this? ... in short, we don't! Just like the various Central American wars in the 1980's and the Iraq war in 2003, we, the American people, do not support these wars!
As a news consumer, I implore you to question the basis for these wars, and question the war hawks who advocate for them in the first place... Why do we need them? What are their cost to average Americans? Is there a better way to achieve our goals.
