Changing the perception of Beauty!

in #life5 years ago

There are universal standards of beauty. We all know that and we somehow follow that. Beauty is no more about good skin, youthfulness or beautiful personality; it's nowadays more about our body shape and skin color.

Everyone is running in the same race to look perfect. Everyone is going through several surgeries to gain perfect beauty. It's very rare to not feel inferior in our own face and body nowadays.

Beauty standards are creating social pressure. If we are not fit as the standards we have to go through bully, ignorance, and pressure to be the same.

Is not this practice is very unhealthy? making others understand that they need to change their perception of beauty is a tough job.

But if you are one step ahead of them and really want to open up your mind, maybe you can change your perception.

It's not only about woman beauty. There are some beauty standards for men also. And the same thing applied to all of us. The perception is so unethical, it makes us judgemental.

It hold us back to befriend everyone. We don't realize how hurtful it is for someone to get judged by his/her looks. It holds us back to not live life fully. We judge others and feel inferior, insecure because of certain perceptions.

Open up your mind, befriend new people, try to understand others, have compassion and respect for everyone. And more necessary don't judge others. And also change the perception about yours too. Don't feel inferior, be confident in your own way and never give attention to what people say about you.

It's tough to change the perceptions about beauty. We have to see so many commercials every single day representing the fake beauty standard. It roots in our brain. But give it a try.
