RE: Money Savings Tips for Homesteaders

in #life7 years ago

Cloth diapering ( birdseye flats and prefolds with covers) saved us a ton of $$. Meal planning is another life saver. I tried couponing for a brief time, but got carried away. So i stick to Aldi's,and what i can't get there, i get at the big box store. We don't buy paper plates unless there's really a need. (My dad's house eats most meals on paper plates.) I cut my kids' hair. They're young enough not to be embarrassed. :) I use vinegar to clean a lot of things. I also wear an apron around the house to protect my clothes. And because i love aprons.
Oh. When we get shoes, we buy good shoes so they will last. We don't buy cheap ones because we found we spent more $ in the long run replacing them than if we had just bought good ones to start with.

I also use Vinegar for a lot of things and cloth diapers for our babies!
