Life is a Video Game
Gamer insight in taking life head-on.
This article is for those who struggle in life. For those people who work hard raising a family, chasing their dreams and breaking their backs doing the best they could to stay afloat in life. My intention is to shed a spark of light and a little encouragement to everyone and hope that I could at least lessen your lifes burdens.
Don't take life so seriously.
What did I mean when I say "seriously"? In my opinion, take life as it is and live it as a video game. You might say, this is absurd, crap and none sense but first, hear me.
We ride in the same boat, I also am trying to kill my monsters and climbing my mountains. Life has been beating me to my knees and keep on pressing until I break. But I persevere and still trying to lift my feet one step at a time. Keeping and slowly moving forward. Taking each experience (e.g. good, bad, sweet, bitter, funny, sad, exciting or life-threatening) along the way. Like a video game player trying to bring his character to the next level. And yes, life is hard, it is difficult and it is very frustrating. But in the other side of the coin, life is precious and it is also short, so take it easy and enjoy life's flavors.
Play life like a PRO.
Chapter I: The Character
[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. ... [5] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Genesis - Bible, King James Version
Reminiscing on your childhood. From the moment you were born till the age of 20 (level 20 should I say) you were just a novice player. You are dependent on your mother and father to provide you with your needs (same as creating a character on a game). This is the tutorial stage of life.
Your education (Elementary Level to Higher Education) plays an important role in creating a competitive character in the world. By the way, the "world" is your playing field. I understand that we are not given the privilege to choose our character appearance and the settings of our playing field. These are the challenges and goals that life wrap and presented in our table.
In short, we have to start playing the way life sets it for us.

Chapter II: The Journey Ahead
From age 21 (level 21 and above), by this time and in this stage of life - you finally finished your tutorial period and you are ready to embark on your own journey of life. You have gained enough experience to face the world outside the walls of your family. You are brave enough to face some small monsters outside the gates. You are well equipped with the necessary tools and armor to take on challenges within your reach. And you are victorious in most of them. Just like making pancakes you eliminate most of the life adversaries that lay along your way.
You have to pick up higher types of equipment (like luxurious cars, enormous houses) and now you are ready to create your own guild (same as raising a family). You have done pretty well in managing your guild (your own family) and become a respective leader of the clan.
Then suddenly you find yourself in a boss battle. You didn't expect that it will be in the next turn of your journey.

Chapter III: The Struggles
This time you are facing a difficult challenge. In equivalent to real life. Creditors and banks are calling. You are delayed on your house payments. Providing necessity to your family. All of this life obstacles have been brought to your feet. You are overwhelmed and don't know what to do. It seems like all turns you take is a trap that if you are not aware and be very careful you will come to a halt and discontinue the game of life.
This time I tell you, don't give up. You made this far and created an orchestra of life rythms.

Game Over
In conclusion.
Your game of life will never be over until the game master fulls the power plug. Meaning you might be very down by now and you don't know what to do, but keep hanging in there. Just like a storm, it will pass. Also, keep in mind that not all falling down situations are bad. Most of them are like blessings in disguise.
The game of life, in my opinion, is not based on what you have collected but on what you have given away. It is not based on how much money you acquire but how many you have made smile. It might be the toughest game you ever play but the journey itself is exciting.
Fonder a little while on this though, if in life you suffer too many hardships and struggles - imagine how many stories you have to tell your grandchildren. So, make every moment memorable and play like a Pro.
