Priorities and the Concept of Triage
This marks my first post on to steemit so I am still unsure of what to expect. However if life has taught me anything in the past 24 years of existence it has been to give it your everything not expecting anything in return.
My name is Christopher but for the sake of steemit, I am ClaritySeeker and as the name suggests, that is precisely what I do; I try to find clarity in this world that becomes ever more chaotic by the day.
Without further ado. Let get to the topic of priorities and the concept of triage.
Everyday we face decisions: where we pump gas, where we eat for lunch, if we go to work or not (call in sick), etc. Among all these decisions there are things we cannot do at the same time such as working all day and spending all day with the family. So where do your priorities lie? Since time is a resources we will never get back, knowing where our priorities life early on ensures we don't regret the decisions we took in the past. This bring us to the concept of triage in everyday life.
Now "triage" according to google is defined as the assignment of degrees of urgency to wounds or illnesses to decide the order of treatment of a large number of patients or casualties.
What does this have to do with everyday life? We'll for starters, there are many things taxing your time claiming to be your priorities: work, family, school, community, etc. which ones need the most attention immediately and which ones can wait? This will vary from person to person however the idea is the same. Use your limited time to its fullest so that later down the road you don't regret having spent your time in the wrong place.
