Death / Religious people find comfort in the after life, but what about Atheists?
Comfort for Atheists
Lets be honest, the topic of death is rather depressing but at the same time interesting. Death is part of human life, sooner or later everyone is going to die.
To deal with death, something that is assumed to end life, people give meaning to it. Many religious people find comfort in that fact that one day, after they die, they'll not be dead but instead go to heaven. This gives them a "death is not the end" sort of comfort while still living and alive. But what is there for non-religious people?
To me personally, i'd reply with: "I was once dead for many years before i was alive, and it didn't bother me." The fact that we as individuals are here is because of chance. The probability being very low. We have been given the opportunity before many others that could've taken our place. We should find comfort in knowing this. Because this opportunity has given us the chance to experience life and the world. We should grab at this once in a life-time opportunity and experience life to the utmost.
