Colorful Life, Colorful Buildings!

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Have you ever thought about why all the buildings you see everyday are gray? Why do we get prisoned inside of this colorless cage? The very fundamental thing in our lives is our home, yet we decided to paint them without soul. We spend half of our life in our home, with family, with our child, with a lover or alone with ourselves. Why do we choose to live like that? We wake up, dress, and go to work , school, or just to walk and come back home. Everything in between we see are colorless buildings.. Buildings are one of the colorless things in life. Everyday we enter these colorless building and we get on colorless busses to go somewhere. Everything in our life is colorless even we don't recognize.

Why are colors so important for us? It is a fact that colors are very effective in human psychology. red is associated with energy, danger and strength. Green is associated with nature, harmony and freshness. Although colors are important in our lives, why do we stay away from them?

Faded colors - especially gray - make people numb and gloomy. Buildings that has gray colors look boring. Where i live buildings are generally gray and it makes me pessimistic. Why should we let the world around us , and our homes be broing and pessimistic?. We shouldnt. People need more color around them ! So i want building to be painted colorfully! There are many examples in the world that colorfull life can help us humans as a society

In a South American country, buildings have been painted multi - colored and guess what happened? The crime rate decreased! We shouldn't ignore the power of the color here. That demonstrates that building colors are effective on human psychology. . In order to stay away from stress, people should see colors instead of concrete on the streets. Imagine that when you look from your window and see a colourful view instead of gray concrate everywhere. There are others examples also. There are colorful buildings in some cities like Tokyo, Madrid, Braunschweig, Venice, Amsterdam... These buildings would make all cities more livable.

Indeed... You really did capture the lack of color in our life in this article. I never thought about it before. Especially in big cities people are tend to be more depressive and unhappy. Maybe the way to little bit more happines and positivity in our life passes through colors.

Agree, this is the main idea that I want to show!

Never really thought of the colorlessness of most building. I have found many to look alike and are boring, but really did not consider color as much. Even in neighborhoods it is like everyone is trying to blend in, when we should stick out.

True, thanks for the comment. :)
