Another day, another shooting...

Yesterday, I heard dozens of sirens. I live close to a hospital, so I figured something went down with 4th of July fireworks. Then I heard a few BANGs nearby, and I thought people were still lighting them off. Then I looked outside my window and saw this:

The pictures don't show it, but there were dozens of police officers and the entire street was blocked. Those "fireworks" I heard were gunshots. Apparently, some dogs were mauling a woman across the street from me and the police had to take it out.

Crazy stuff. Hoping the woman is okay.

Props to the LAPD for taking everything so seriously. It seemed a little bit like overkill, but they had a full team of detectives out to investigate the scene and make sure everything was documented properly.
