First Cruise, part 1
In early November of last year my family and I took our first cruise together. For my son and I it was our very first. It was a five night cruise to the Yucatan Peninsula. Visiting the little city of Progresso and small island of Cozumel. The ship was the smallest in the fleet " The Vision of the Sea" from Royal Caribbean.
Pretty big for the smallest ship lol. It was incredible! I had never experienced anything like it and I have traveled a lot for my young life. They had 5-7 resteraunts including a Sushi bar, a la carte of course. The casino was small but exciting, and a theater for live performances and movie night for families. My son loved the ship, so fascinated with this new thing he could run everywhere on.
The first night at sea was beautiful and I loved how the ship look late on the deck with the dim lights to guide the way.
Leaving Galveston port
Spooky shot of the deck.
So if you've never been or haven't heard and you enjoy your bit of alcohol like the rest of the world. Then the drink package is the way to go. It's pretty steep and has to be purchase for each adult if either want it. But it is good for any drink that includes coffees, teas, juices, sodas and of course beer, wine, shots of liquor and cocktails. Also each bar features their specialty cocktails, so that is a lot of fun.
On the next to last day we took a private brunch and tour of the kitchen of the main restaurant. They prep everything, and it is all made fresh everyday!
