Ronald Reagan
What do you know about the 40th President of the United States of America? Someone may have heard that before his political career, he was an actor in Hollywood. Others will remember his speech at the Berlin Wall, with the appeal "Mr. Gorbachev, take down this wall!".
At the age of 83, Reagan had Alzheimer's disease. He personally informed the American people about this by writing the following open letter:
I have recently been told that I am one of the millions of Americans who will be afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease ... At the moment I feel just fine. I intend to live the remainder of the years God gives me on this earth doing the things I have always done ... I now begin the journey that will lead me into the sunset of my life. I know that for America there will always be a bright dawn ahead. Thank you, my friends. May God always bless you.
All this is public information. But there is much that a common man does not even guess.
The director of the movie "Reagan" Eugene Jarecki, offers us a fresh look at the life and career of Ronald Reagan.
I watched this film in russian, and how it seemed to me the author was very balanced and fully told about the life of this, undoubtedly, great politician and man.
