Good advise. I invested in preparations for my family years ago as an insurance policy. Water filtration is a component often overlooked and as a Floridian I highly recommend one to go with the other emergency supplies.
I was in Tallahassee picking up the kids that Saturday since they had no power and saw how eerie it was that night when there were blocks and blocks of stores dark and desolate. Thank goodness Publix Supermarkets always have generators. Good luck up there, hopefully cleanup is coming along. Thank God it was only a category 1 or as we used to call it "good body surfing weather".
