Earth's life could be around 4 billion years old

Tokyo (Japan). Earthly life could be much older than previously thought. Presumably, this was already under the most adverse conditions only a "geological second" after the Earth's origin.

The simplest life forms could have already inhabited our earth about 3.95 billion years ago. Recent discoveries of fossils from Canada suggest that the creation of earthly life on earth is a long way forward than previously thought.

If the researchers are right with their interpretations, this means that life on planet Earth has already developed into a "geological second" after its creation about 4.5 billion years ago. The discovery of such early life is a testament to the fact that this could exist even under extremely adverse conditions. According to this, new scientific perspectives for the search not only open up for life on celestial bodies, which were hitherto regarded as hostile to life, but also for extraterrestrial life forms.
