Three types of work

in #life7 years ago

Conditionally, each post can be placed in one of three categories. It is important that you learn in them what you are doing, then began to develop certain skills.

Work that requires "hard" skills and a little bit - "soft"

There is an opportunity to achieve great success, even having difficulties, for example, in communicating with colleagues. A beaten example is physicists and programmers.

Work that requires the same level of "hard" and "soft" skills

Most of the posts are in this category. For example, lawyers - they need to know the law, but also need to find a common language with customers. Here, all other things being equal, a good person will get a job that focuses on both "hard" and "soft" skills.

Work that requires "soft" and a little "tough" skills

For example, sales. The seller absolutely does not need to know about how the car that he sells (he can, but does not have to) is working. Success here depends more on the ability to "read" their customers, convince and negotiate.
