RE: Can You Blame The Youth For Being What They Are?

in #life7 years ago

Cassyjanine, I read your post and found it to be very enlightening. You have pretty we'll summed it up.
I am 77, and I have to agree that the only ones to blame are the parents and those who the parents voted into power, such as town councils, school boards etc.
In many cases I think it was the inability of the majority of scociety to see where the future of mankind was headed which allowed the proper upbringing and education to be taken over by a not so desirable system.
I do not dislike those of the younger generation. I sincerely feel afraid for their future. They have never had to suffer or really do without, they have not been taught how to survive should this worlds society suddenly crash.
They are not to blame, they live as they have been taught.

You're right. Sometimes, I got upset when older people in our place talk about the disrespectful attitude of the youths. Why? Did they don't know that it's up to them who raised us? It makes me cry to hear how they blame us for being us.
