RE: Life Lessons We Can Learn From Elon Musk

How about these?

Being an environmental hypocrite. Talk about saving the planet but personally use more electricity than an African village.

Use batteries in your car that are made from materials that are obtained by child labor and strip mining.

Leaching off the government for tax credits.

Sort:

Ya I agree, a lot of the so called advocates are the biggest hypocrites. I heard Tim Cook say something about equality, but they are a huge supporter, of child labor in china, and so does it only matter if it happens in the U.S. Or are you just saying it because you are popular.

Agree on that, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't turn into cleaner energy. Fossil energy is killing the planet. We as a society just need to focus on downshifting, passive energy housing and getting products and services from transparent environmental companies.

Agreed. We've gotta crawl before we can walk. The trick is making sure we don't get too used to crawling!

While transitioning from fossil fuel to solar/hydrogen/wave/geothermal/nuclear fission/nuclear fusion/or any new sort of renewable energy, it will be a tough process. Ultimately, we will not be depending on fossil fuels in the next 100 years. In my opinion, Elon was trying to realize the future earlier rather than waiting for the real crisis to happen.
