From the Economist magazine Nadia had been giving her statement,---------
Born in 1993, at the time Nadia was 21 years , she had nothing knowledge about Islamic religion exept her highschool study how far she had become a history teacher and makeup artiest, instead her life was bruttaly torn apart by militants intent on ridding Iraq of all Yazidi s .She eventually escaped to Mosul where a muslim family helped her obtain fake Islamic identification that enabled her to escape ISIS territory.
Her ordeal began 3 Aug 2014, after ISIS militant arrived at her village of KOCHO in Iraq Kurdistan. Her mother and six of her nine brothers and step brothers were executed, while many of unmarried woman in the village were taken as sex slaves and passed around the militants.
U N recognised , when ISIS militants attaked her village in northen Iraq, they first killed many of the older woman and men in her community, including her mother and six of her brothers and step brothers, before bussing her to Mosul, where she and the other young woman and children abducted along wiyh her , where brutalized as sex slaves. Murad eventually escaped, only to recount her suffering again and again. She underlines that her abduction was no “spontaneous decision made on the battle field by a greedy soilder “ ISIS planed it all, ven its propaganda magazine discussed sex slaves to lure new recruits. This was part of a military strategy against Yazidi s ultimately aimed at eliminating them together.
The fact that the peace laureates came from two different nations underlines that this problem has been widerspread , from Riwanda to Myanmar . And the fact that the prize is shared by a man and woman underlines that both sexes have been victims, and both must work together to end the use of rape as a weapon of war.
