Visits and Prayers Together

Yesterday I attended the invitation where the prayer and the remembrance commemorate the mawlid of Prophet Muhammad SAW in a house in my village, this dhikr event held in the afternoon.

The Prophet's Mawlid is the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad SAW, whose celebration in Indonesia falls on every 12th of Rabiul Awal in the Hijri calendar. The word maulid or milad in Arabic means day of birth. The Birthday Celebration of the Prophet is a tradition that developed in the Islamic community long after the Prophet Muhammad SAW died. Substantially, this warning is an expression of joy and respect for the Prophet Muhammad.

Its significance with the ceremonial maulid of the prophet, Muslims are expected to recall how persistent the struggle of the apostle in pioneering and developing the teachings of Islam in the midst of Arabic traditions and culture at that time in a state of ignorance.

One thing Muslims should do when celebrating the mawlid of the Prophet is to imitate attitudes and deeds, especially the noble morality of the great prophet Muhammad SAW.

Not just ceremonial, the celebration should be impregnated in a deep heart and try to imitate and practice the noble character of the prophet.
