WINNING THE BREAD
Part Two
A friend visited his cousin who is a highly placed civil servant and the wife a career lady. The wife once said, "we are all graduates, so we do the kitchen chores together, you eat and wash your plate." There are cases where some ladies cherish their career so much that their family suffers.
The children are left in the hand of the maids; the family eats junks in the name of food. It is always funny and ridiculous when you see toddlers and under aged children, wearing their school uniforms but off to school on an empty stomach in the name of mummy's career.
The big question then is, when will this baby enjoy the warmth and love and the embrace of the mother, when will morals be inculcated in the child and other basic things of life?
Some career ladies abandoned their babies in hands of their husband who does not know anything about childcare. Some to suit their purpose force their children into early education just because they want to be free of the disturbance. My question is this, when the child is raised in such condition, grows up, and behave abnormally, which for sure will be the case, who do we blame?
It is time for everyone in the home to know his or her duties. A change of mind and rethink, let us embrace our God given role as a man or as a woman in the home. Let us not sacrifice our family at the alter of career and job thereby giving birth to a degenerated society. Note that "the family is a unit of a larger society and the reflection of the society is what is sown in the family."
