Conscious-Body Jumping

in #life7 years ago

The idea of transferring one's conscious from one body to another is not new. Media has created movies and themes to propel this idea in the past. Recall in 1998, the movie "Fallen" ?

Homicide detective John Hobbes witnesses the execution of serial killer Edgar Reese. Soon after the execution the killings start again, and they are very similar to Reese's style.
The movie portrayed the serial killer performing a magic rite to allow him to body jump, much like demonic possession. Prior to that was a movie in 1989, the movie "Shocker"

After being sent to the electric chair, a serial killer uses electricity to come back from the dead and carry out his vengeance on the football player who turned him in to the police.

Same concept. The only difference (electricity versus satanic ritual) is the method of how the conscience is released and transferred.

Fast forward to 2015, you have the movie Self/less, where they use a high powered MRI to transfer conscience. The desire to live forever and promise of immortality has plagued mankind since Garden of Eden.

Recently I been watching Netflix original show "Travelers". Netflix recently released season 2.

Hundreds of years from now, surviving humans discover how to send consciousness back through time, into people of the 21st century, while attempting to save humanity from a terrible future.
I have enjoyed the show, but again, the idea is the ability to move one's conscience. [Spoiler Alert] The future an AI was created, called "The Director". The director knows and see's all, and everyone has their conscience within the computer mainframe. This allows the conscience to be saved and moved from host to host.

I have said in the past, media provides us glimpses of what the elite is working on. Outside of media and Horror/Sci-Fi is the attempt to move forward with conscience uploads.

Kurzweil — an inventor, futurist and now director of engineering at Google — predicts that by 2045, technology will have surpassed human brainpower to create a kind of superintelligence — an event known as the singularity. Other scientists have said that robots will overtake humans by 2100. [Super-Intelligent Machines: 7 Robotic Futures] [Source]
An article in 2015. A startup company working to upload conscience to a robot body, allowing immortality. Much like the 2015 movie "Chappie".
"We’re using artificial intelligence and nanotechnology to store data of conversational styles, behavioural patterns, thought processes and information about how your body functions from the inside-out. This data will be coded into multiple sensor technologies, which will be built into an artificial body with the brain of a deceased human. Using cloning technology, we will restore the brain as it matures." [Source]

During a Global Futures 2045 International Congress, he sensationally said: “We're going to become increasingly non-biological to the point where the non-biological part dominates and the biological part is not important any more.” [Source]
The idea of this ability remains for the year 2045, meaning they are on a schedule and letting the public aware that schedule remains.

Today in 2018, a new Netflix original is promoting this same idea with a twist. The new show is called "Altered Carbon", where it appears a host will be grown for you to transfer your conscience too. They use the word "shedding", much like found in Self/less. This shedding refers back to snakes shedding their skin. Again the first serpent in the Garden promises immortality.

Summary:

So what we have is man attempting to attain immortality, through any method possible. The use of technology (shocker) or Satanic rites (Fallen) or combination does not matter. As methods are provided, the attempt remains. These shows or movies are merely conveying this idea to the public, in order to pre-program or accept it when it becomes available.
