INTELLIGENT LENSES TO MEDIUM THE DIABETIC GLUCOSE QUANTITY?

Hello friends of steemit I bring you a very interesting review for those people who suffer from diabetes or have a family member with this disease, YES ... as the title says these lenses can measure the amount of glucose with your blood and thus avoid those annoying punctures in the Finger.
This new smart lens is the latest attempt to free diabetics from the daily prick to check the level of blood sugar, but it will take a few years to be tested in humans. At the moment, a group of scientists from the National Institute of Science and Technology of Ulsan (Korea) has managed to test it in rabbits with positive results, without the use of needles and only analyzing their tears.
The lenses are made of the same transparent and flexible material as a contact lens. Inside, researchers have included a small electronic chip with an LED light and a glucose sensor. If the sugar level is not adequate, the light will flash to warn the subject who is wearing them. To verify its correct functioning, they used artificial tears that simulated low glucose contents, which were placed in the eyes of rabbits. The light that was on for lack of sugar was extinguished when these tears were added.
The problem is that, for the moment, has not been able to verify its effectiveness in humans, so we will still have to wait to find out if it works or not. On the other hand, other questions arise: the level of lack of blood sugar will be the same as can be detected by the tear? An incorrect measurement could lead to inadequate glucose control in people with diabetes. In fact, this precision is what makes them have a better quality of life: especially when it has to do with what they eat.
At the moment, there are no studies that support the level of glucose in blood or tears is the same, so the Korean team will have to continue working so that both results can be matched so that the project can go ahead.
Let's hope that everything works out well for these scientists and changes the lives of many! I thank Alberto Pascual for passing me this information that I publish in QUO, without more to say until next time!

Hello @artvictor, We have met 2 times already!
I'm a guide dog living in KR community. I can see that you want to contribute to KR community and communicate with other Korean Steemians. I really appreciate it and I'd be more than happy to help.
KR tag is used mainly by Koreans, but we give warm welcome to anyone who wish to use it. I'm here to give you some advice so that your post can be viewed by many more Koreans. I'm a guide dog after all and that's what I do!
Tips:
Unfortunately, Google Translate is terrible at translating English into Korean. You may think you wrote in perfect Korean, but what KR Steemians read is gibberish. Sorry, even Koreans can't understand your post written in Google-Translated Korean.
I sincerely hope that you enjoy Steemit without getting downvotes. Because Steemit is a wonderful place. See? Korean Steemians are kind enough to raise a guide dog(that's me) to help you!
Woff, woff! 🐶
