The Meaning of Sex in Dreams

Sex in dreams is always a good thing because everything in a dream is representing some aspect of the dreamer. This is the first of the four rules of dream analysis and the more difficult one to wrap your head around when analyzing a dream. Yes, we may dream of our friends, parents or lovers but really they are symbolizing certain characteristics you have or need to adopt. Alternatively, they are representing the relationship and ways you think, act or react within it.

Sex with anyone in a dream is good because it is showing that you are intimately connecting with an important part of your own nature.

Male's will represent confidence, self esteem and belief in yourself - all male energy traits.

Females represent the heart, feelings, emotional expression and compassion - female energy traits.

If you are having sex with a female in a dream (even when you are a heterosexual female yourself) it shows that you are okay with expressing emotions and aren't suppressing your feelings. This is very important for a healthy heart and is required for spiritual gifts like channeling, counseling and spiritual leadership.

If you are having sex with a male in a dream (even when you are a heterosexual male yourself) it shows that you are trusting yourself and and getting in touch with your own self worth and value. This is important for spiritual gifts like hypnosis, astral projection and hands on healing.

Having sex in a dream is healing for issues such as emotional repression or low self worth and shows a level of intimacy with yourself.

We don't always accept sex or our healing agents though. Sometimes a male or female will be placed in a dream to draw us out for healing and intimacy but our subconscious is so protective due to past injuries that we reject the healing agent. This can even look like people chasing you with the intention of rape. Of course they do not intend rape in a dream (since everything is you) but your subconscious is projecting fears onto the healing agents purpose and turning them into a villain. In this case, we would begin looking at other parts of the dream to find the root of these fears as well as any guidance with how better to move forward.

If rape is a part of the dreamers past and there is still some healing that needs to take place within the dreamer, it will likely show up in less obvious ways, like someone breaking into a bedroom (bedroom represents the reproductive system and someone breaking in is obvious in this light).

And then, sometimes, sex in dreams happens when we are just having too little sex in waking life.

I use Michael Sheridan's method of dream interpretation and I hope you found these insights valuable. 😊

Great inputs becuase we all face these kind of dreams, but sometimes we can't evaluate these dreams in a way of interpretation. Thanks for sharing.

Have a great day and stay blessed.

I agree that there are SOME times when a dream will not be giving us very much guidance due to it simply playing out something we wonder about in our daily lives. I would disagree, however, that dreams are simply nonsense or the brain going wild during our sleep state. Dreams are extremely meaningful, healing, and offer fantastic guidance when analyzed properly.

Yes, i have started to evaluate my dream, lets see, if i will interpret my dream in aspect of reality.
